Our Commitment To Project Safety

We Believe In Stop Work Authority

Everyone at Discovery Hydrovac is committed to the safety of our customers and our crew members. If anyone on site is uncomfortable going forward with a dig, we will back them up, trust their expertise and caution, and halt the dig.

Because of this process, we are proud to say Discovery Hydrovac has NEVER had a dig-in.

What Is Stop Work Authority?

Unsafe construction sites and practices are unacceptable at Discovery Hydrovac. Stop Work Authority (SWA) gives every worker the responsibility and authority to immediately stop working if they see something they deem unsafe or if they notice risky behavior. It takes everyone working together to keep a worksite safe. Possible situations that warrant implementing SWA include:

  • Improper equipment use
  • Unsafe conditions
  • Emergency situations
  • Changes to the scope of work
  • Near-miss incidents
  • Alarms

Safety Is Our First Priority

Everyone on the Discovery Hydrovac team is committed to providing the highest degree of safety and efficiency to every project and every customer. Along with top training for every crew member, we are:

Whether you’re a project stakeholder or a crew member, it’s in everyone’s best interest to have an experienced and trained team working on your excavation project. Our qualified and highly- trained workers can assist you through all phases of your project and ensure your excavation project gets done efficiently and safely.
